When I actually do post here, it is usually tech related. I know that is a rarity these days since writing requires free time and I don’t really have much of that. Here is one of the reasons why. One of my many time consuming hobbies is woodworking/making my home more livable. I’ve developed quite the tool collection over the years. I just finished* my home bar last week. How about some pics?
Everything wood was made by hand. That includes the cabinets, doors, shelves, frame, everything. My lovely wife helped install the tile. My only real complaint is the wood I chose. It is all oak. I went with that since it is cheap and easy to find locally. If I could do it over, I would have chosen something more interesting. Walnut or a dark mahogany would have been my first choice but it is expensive and hard to come by around here.
I’ll try to post about my next project within the next few days. I’m building a home office.
*I still have a couple things I want to do but they will have to wait for me to finish a couple other projects first. I want to add locking glass doors to the upper center cabinet as well as in front of the wine cabinet. My kids are young but I would like the option to lock away the liquor as they get older.
